Historically, THE YELLOW BEACH VILLAS nests in the central area where the main army of U.S. Gen . Douglas McArthur made a beachhead in January 9, 1945 during World War II .
On January 8, 1945, Gen. Douglas Mac Arthur on board the cruiser BOISE and its fleet was off Manila Bay en route to Lingayen Gulf. By the morning of January 9, 1945, the entire invasion fleet was assembled in the Gulf. At 9 am, the invasion began and the first wave of landing crafts came ashore at various beaches along the arc-shaped shoreline of the Lingayen Gulf. As in Leyte, the beaches in Lingayen Gulf were color coded. The White beach was most eastern towns near Mabilao and San Fabian while the Blue beach was just east of Dagupan. Likewise, the Yellow beach was in the centrally-located coastline of Binmaley where the main army of Gen. Mac Arthur made its beachhead.
Within a few hours, U.S. troops had taken the towns of Lingayen and San Fabian. The airfield as well as the roads and bridges outside the towns were secured. A beachhead 20 miles long and four miles deep had been established in the Lingayen Gulf along the White, Blue, Crimson and Yellow beaches. Jubilant Filipinos came into the beaches and roads greeting the allies with great hope and expectation towards a bright future. At about 2 in the afternoon, Gen. Douglas Mac Arthur has returned in the island of Luzon. He landed with most of his staff and waded through the surf and sand into the crowd of cheering Filipinos. Over the next few days, close to 200,000 U.S. troops landed in the Lingayen Gulf.

To date, as in the fateful day in January 1945, the YELLOW BEACH and the other beaches of the Lingayen Gulf continue to serve as a stark reminder to Filipinos and allies, and to those who fought gallantly for freedom and democracy have, for their reward the celebration of life and honor. The bravery and the strength of character of the Filipinos in times of war and his compassion and gentleness during times of peace came to fore once again. The unparalleled valor and extreme resilience of the Filipinos and allies as shown in Bataan, Corregidor, Leyte, Lingayen Gulf, among others vividly demonstrate selfless sacrifice, genuine patriotism and love of country worthy of emulation by generations of Filipinos and freedom fighters from all walks of life for all eternity.
